Kursbeskrivning

One-to-One tuition is the ultimate course for making maximum progress during a short period of time. This is an intensive course which is 100% focused on your English language needs and designed by your teachers to meet your requirements.

One-to-One is the most flexible and personal course available.You'll get more out of this course if:

- You wish to improve your level significantly in a short time.
- You want to have targeted learning in areas of weakness or areas where you are lacking confidence.
- You feel you would benefit from uninterrupted teacher attention.
- You want to build a one on one relationship with an experienced teacher.

You can combine One-to-One tuition with a group course. This gives you the advantage of the interaction of a group in the morning and individually tailored tuition in the afternoon. This is a great way of accelerating your progress.

Maximum flexibility

Feel free to go 'off topic'. A one-to-one lesson is designed for you, by you. Set your own goals for the lesson and one of our friendly English teachers will help you reach them. The flexibility of our teachers allows you to choose the English that you want to learn.

Individual focus

A private English lesson means personalised attention to you - you will receive your teachers undivided attention, receive guidance and feedback that is specific to you and your goals.

Tailored to your needs

Spending so much direct time in contact with your teacher means that he/she will know exactly which areas of your English you need to improve. Working together you will reach your English goal. That's the benefit of such a high level of personalised attention.

Please note that the first day is mainly focused on pre-test and orientation. This is the timetable of the student:

08:30 - Student arrival and check-in
09:00 - Placement test and interviews
11:00 - Welcome breakfast and orientation with various EC staff members
12:00 - Welcome tour of school neighbourhood

Students taking courses with 20 or 24 lessons per week will not have class on the first day due to orientation, while those taking courses with 30 lessons per week will have two classes in the afternoon on the first day after orientation.

"A really good choice"

I took the one-to-one course for 5 weeks in EC Manchester. Teachers and staffs are very friendly and willing to provide helps. The course helped me improved my listening and speaking skills a lot. Teachers here are very humour and nice thus the classes were helpful and interesting. Moreover, both the host family and student accommodation were good. My host family mother offered me delicious dinner everyday and talked a lot with me. I could say EC Manchester is really a good choice for studying.

Description of Accommodation
Vita Student at First Street is a luxurious studio development in Manchester’s bustling and eclectic city centre. The studio apartments include bespoke furniture, small double beds, integrated kitchen appliances, wall mounted flat screen TVs, en-suite rooms and Wi-Fi access throughout the building.

Miscellaneous
Weekly cleaning of common areas. The room is cleaned once a fortnight included within the cost of the room, they offer additional cleaning services for between £15 and £30 depending the level of clean required.
There are 20 washing machines and the cost is £2.80 per load.
Luggage drop-off is allowed.
Utility bills are included.

Visumsupport

Vi kan inte ansöka om visum för studenter. Dock kan skolan försörja dig med all dokumentation du behöver för att stödja din visumansökan.

Om du studerar i Storbritannien över 11 månader, så kommer du att få ett referensnummer kallat Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) som du överlämnar till Brittiska ambassaden tillsammans med din allmänna studentvisumansökan. Studenter som framgångsrikt har bokat en språkkurs och betalat avgifterna kommer att få ett CAS från EC Manchester. Var vänlig notera att Brittisk lag säger att CAS enbart tilldelas studenter som planerar att studera engelska i över 11 månader.

Om du studerar i Strobritannien i 11 månader eller mindre, så måste du ansöka om ett speciellt besöksvisum som kallas Student Visitor Visa. Som en besökande student, kan du inte arbeta på halvtid samtidigt som du studerar. Om du planerar att studera i Storbritannien i 11 månader eller mindre, så kommer ett antagningsbrev skickas till din hemadress via vanlig post utan kostnad. Om du önskar få ditt pappersarbete via expressbrev, kommer du att debiteras £ 75 när du registrerar dig.
