Learn Italian & Live in Your Teacher's Home in Milan with Home Language International

Very pleasant, very kind and knowledgeable wish i had more time

I loved the location and my teacher was excellent. I probably needed more like 3 months to be able to speak better, which was disappointing. I really thought after 3 years of lessons, I would be able to speak better when I left Italy, but I don’t see an improvement, which has nothing to do with my Italian teacher because what I learned in Italy was so much more intense than the weekly lessons I have been taken in America. Maybe my lessons were a warm up for learning in Italy.

I truly loved her teaching style.

The only thing I didn’t like was that her Mother was very ill, bedridden. I was fearful that I would bring COVID to their home after I was out, and that made me uncomfortable. I tried to be careful, but it was always on my mind. As Americans, we are culturally very different, and we both needed time to adjust so maybe the first week was kinda lost for me because of this…

The location in the midst of Milan is wonderful. Rosella is a wonderful and very caring teacher. The classes are very well organized and full of good hints for learning faster than on conventional methods. There are plenty of possibilities to have any activity in Milan. As the taxi driver told me when I arrived to Milan main station: "You made a good choice coming to Milan"..."Milano è l'unica città in Italia dove tutto funziona."
I liked my stay at Rosellas house very much.
I did not like that I had to leave after my two weeks.
